Whitworth Town Council hosts Murder at the Riverside!

Whitworth Town Council hosts Murder at the Riverside!

On Saturday 7 April 2018, the Mayor and Mayoress of Whitworth, Councillor Alan and Mrs Janet Neal, will be hosting a civic dinner with a difference!

They will be joined by acclaimed local theatre company ‘Just Imagine North West’ for an evening of intrigue where the guests have to work out ‘whodunnit?’.

The event will take place at The Riverside (Civic Hall), Whitworth, with doors opening at 7pm for a prosecco reception.  Guests are encouraged to dress in the style of the 1920’s to help set the scene of the evening and a very special surprise compare has been invited to lead the ceremonies.  Guests will then be treated to a delicious three-course dinner with the entertainment continuing between each course – until the dreaded murder takes place!  Then each table will compete to guess the murderer to win the star prize.

There will also be a raffle during the course of the evening, all proceeds of which will go to the Mayor’s Charity Fund to be distributed to local charities and organisations at the end of the Mayoral year in May.

Tickets are on sale now costing £29.95 per head which includes a three-course dinner, reception drink and entertainment – tickets are already selling quickly for this event and should be booked in advance.

To book tickets, contact Melanie Hearn, The Town Clerk on 01706 852018 or email info@whitworth.gov.uk.  Alternatively tickets can be purchased online at http://www.whitworth.gov.uk/events/Civic_Dinner.
