Ultra Marathon Fundraiser for Special Ski Club

Ultra Marathon Fundraiser for Special Ski Club

John Vaughan is on a mission!  He is running the Lakeland 50 to raise some cash for Rossendale Special Ski Club.

On Saturday 28th July John will be running the 50 mile ultra marathon in the Lake District.  The route starts from the Northern end of Ullswater before following the Eastern shore line as far as Howtown. There’s then a trek along the banks of Haweswater to Mardale Head then from there  climbs to Long Sleddale, Kentmere, Ambleside, Langdale and Tilberthwaite before a final climb and descent to the finish at Coniston.

‘Rosski’ is a ski club for individuals with learning difficulties and special educational needs based in Rossendale.  It is open to any young person in East Lancashire and neighbouring counties with a Learning Disability who either wants to learn to ski or who can ski.  They are a very friendly welcoming club based at the dry ski slope at Ski Rossendale and they are always on the lookout for new members.

The money raised will be used to purchase equipment for skiers and contribute to the costs of next years ski trip.  If anybody can support John by sparing a few pounds it would be greatly appreciated.  If you are also able to share the page to help it reach more potential donors that would be doubly fantastic!
