Welcome to Weir Baptist Church, a church with a vision to be the Christian community of Jesus Christ in service to the peoples of Weir and their neighbours. We are both family and singles friendly with a small congregation aged between 7 and 90! We warmly invite all to come and visit with us any Sunday at 10.30am. There’s plenty of parking and good coffee after the service.
Our church is affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and has its own character and emphasis. We love to worship God and value both traditional and modern praise songs. We have great bible teaching and lots of stories to share. Our particular hallmark is our desire to be friendly. That’s why we have regular meals together at the centre and arrange interesting outings. No matter what your age or familiarity with Christianity this is your church and we aim to make you welcome.
Weir Baptist Church resides at the Doals Centre in Weir village, built on the site of the former Ebenezer Baptist chapel, founded in 1851. You will find our exact address and contact numbers on the contact page. We are wheelchair friendly and the Doals Centre can be entered by a lower entrance to avoid the use of the stairs. Our meetings are conducted in the main hall on the lower floor.
We look forward to welcoming you one Sunday.
