Valley Shorai Karate Club aims to teach all students the art, skill and ethos of fair play, respect and good manners, which stems from the origins of Shorai Karate.
“Shorai” means ‘future’ and utilises ancient and modern martial art techniques, allowing the sport to develop. Experienced and dedicated instructors support all students, from beginners through to black belts.
The club currently supports students from 3 years to 5 years old in our infant classes where the youngest generation can be introduced to the martial art of Karate, which not only encourages active participation, but also good discipline whilst having fun.
Our older glasses start from 6 years old to adults where, as an active student you can learn everything the martial art has to offer you can develop your self confidence or your competitve aspect or even just to improve your fitness.
Our association, Shorai Martial Arts International, is governed by Sensei Joe Tierney, black belt 7th Dan, who is a former European Champion and World competitor. He oversees all belt gradings and holds many seminars within the club to maintain the highest of training standards.
