Valley Aloud is Rossendale’s premier, mixed-adult, Community Choir!

Based at Rakefoot Hall, Crawshawbooth and established in September 2010 as part of Valley Academy, Rossendale’s School of Musical Theatre & Dance, the choir now has around 50 members and is renowned for first class performances in the Valley & beyond!

Valley Aloud prides itself on rehearsing and performing an eclectic mix of music, from our roots in Musical Theatre through to contemporary pop and gospel. We are always open to suggestions from our members and try to accomodate all tastes in music. Current pieces include ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Adele, ‘O Happy Day’ from Sister Act and ‘Waterloo’! All pieces are rehearsed and performed in 2-4 part harmony and are sometimes accompanied by simple yet effective choreography!

Valley Aloud already has a number of highly acclaimed performances under it’s belt including a guest appearance at Valley Productions’ recent ‘Magic of the Musicals’ concert, both Waterfoot & Rossendale Festivals, Crawshawbooth’s Royal Wedding Street Party and a private booking at a wedding.

In 2012, Valley Aloud looks forward to it’s biggest gig to date at The Mechanics Theatre, Burnley.

As well as the enjoyment of singing and rehearsing together, strong friendships have formed within the choir and we enjoy a varied social calender including this year a canal boat cruise and fun-packed Christmas Party!

Valley Aloud are always looking for new members (especially men) so please go to the How To Join page to find out how you too can be part of something special!
