At Staghills Nursery School we are a very caring, happy and friendly school. Children are at the heart of all that we do and we are committed to ensuring that all of our children have the best possible start in life. Happy, secure children will make the most their early play experiences and our staff feel privileged to be part of their learning.

We are a local authority Nursery School and Childrens Centre that provides exciting and caring learning opportunities for children from 0-5 years old.
Staghills Nursery School opened in 1955. We were designated as a Children’s Centre in February 2006 and after extensive alterations to the building, we now have a modern setting to offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of our local community. We continue to develop our centre and from September 2015 the nursery school will take children eligible for Free Early Years Education from the age of two years old.

As a local authority nursery school we only take children under the age of 5 we are able to focus all our resources, funds and training on developing the best curriculum and environment for young children. All of our staff are Early Years Specialists, they are extremely knowledgeable about how children learn and child development. We are privileged to have a staff with a real passion for working with young children and a deep sense of commitment to the nursery and its aims.

The emphasis throughout our school is on progress and the development of each child as an individual learner.
