At Stacksteads Methodist Church, a warm welcome is awaiting anyone who comes through the doors of our church, a small fellowship of approximately 40 members.
In 2011 we welcomed the members of Waterbarn Baptist Church, with whom we have had a strong connection over many years, to worship with us when it was no longer viable for them to meet in their own premises.
Our congregation is made up mostly of the older generation who are very young at heart! Music for worship is by modern electric organ, and our own praise band. Powerpoint is also available.
We meet in a small modern building with access for the disabled. The old chapel, and schoolroom were demolished in 1984, and replaced with the current building.
We have a strong pastoral outlook, and prayer ethos. We look to serve our local community, and welcome people for Weddings, Christenings and Funerals. Our building is particularly useful for groups wishing to hold meetings, seminars etc., as we have good facilities with our recently modernised kitchen and toilet areas.
We welcome anyone to join our church where they will be warmly received as a valued person, and where God is at the forefront of all that we do.
