At the Myplace Project – Stubbylee Park we are working on the Over-25 employability strand of the project.
We will be running weekly activities, where we will carry out environmental activities such as practical conservation (scrub clearance, pond work, tree planting) bush craft, nature walks, growing activities and mindfulness with a view to improving the park. We will also be helping with job search and CV writing for participants.
Participants can be involved for 2 cycles of 3 months and will have the opportunities to gain AQAs and the john Muir Award.
We will provide all tools, equipment and gloves etc. We can also provide travel expenses.
We are funded through the European Social Fund and the target audience is:
• Over 25 years old.
• Unemployed or inactive.
• Living in Bacup, Rawtenstall and Haslingden.
It is also possible that we could arrange a taster session/activity if you have a few participants who may be interested but would want to meet us and have a go before joining the wider group.
