The Growth Company (formerly The Work Company) is helping to make a difference to the lives of people who are struggling to find work and stay in regular employment.
Working across a range of areas we help people get back on their feet, whether they’ve been unemployed for a long time, are on benefits or are recovering from health issues or some form of substance abuse.
Where we differ is that we are not a faceless organisation only interested in numbers and targets; instead at The Growth Company, we offer an individual, personalised approach, helping people to train, learn new skills and become ‘work ready’ again.
But we don’t just want to help people find work, we want to help them stay there too, and so improve the overall quality of their lives. Often this means helping people to deal with different, sometimes complex, problems at the same time, helping them get to the bottom of the issue, once and for all.
And it’s this ethos, this way of working, which can help local employers too, giving them access to committed individuals who want to work, who want to get on and who want to fulfil their potential.
Operating within the welfare-to-work, health and well-being, justice, substance misuse, and adult careers guidance markets, we deliver:
- End to end services within Working Well, Work Choice and the Work Programme.
- Pre-recruitment programmes for major employers such as the University of Manchester.
- Information, advice and guidance to adults under the National Careers Service.
- Specialist key worker and employability services people in recovery from substance misuse, and others with complex needs, and for (ex) offenders.
