Rossendale Prevention of Homelessness Strategy

Are you a group or organisation involved in the support and assistance of anyone in housing need in Rossendale?

You may be interested in the Stakeholder Consultation currently taking place in Rossendale to develop a Prevention of Homelessness Strategy, and they would appreciate your views on the services available for people threatened with homelessness in the borough.

Rossendale Borough Council is planning to publish a new Prevention of Homelessness Strategy later this year following the implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 in April.  They would like your feedback to help inform the formulation of the strategy in order to try and improve the support and assistance available for anyone in housing need in Rossendale.

Please respond by 3rd April 2018 to if you wish to be involved.  If you have any queries you can contact Michael via email or on 01257 252507.

The feedback will be discussed at the BPR forum meeting  at Burnley Borough Council, Manchester Road, Burnley at 10.00am on Wednesday 11th April 2018, along with the chance for any verbal comments. The BPR forum meeting is a  meeting between the Local Authorities, other Governmental organisations,  Registered Providers, 3rds Sector Organisations and similar constituted bodies, but unfortunately is not open to members of the public due to the sensitivity of discussions.

A draft of the Prevention of Homelessness Strategy will be published later this year for full public consultation for at least six weeks, which will allow everyone to have their say before the final document is published.
